Betty, Olive, and Maude buy eggs from a small farm.
It’s been several weeks since we shared a new episode, and we’re so happy to have a new one today! In this episode, titled Spring Cleaning, Ralph, Maude and Olive work together to prep their bikes for a ride on a sunny day. We love working hard, then enjoying the benefits of our hard work.
We know, we know. The kids are not wearing helmets. Yikes! We wish we had a good excuse, but honestly, it didn’t even cross our minds. Wearing helmets for casual bike riding doesn’t seem to be a big thing in France. If we’d been thinking, we would have stopped at the sporting goods store to pick some up. But clearly, we weren’t thinking. Our apologies in advance! That said, we hope you enjoy the show anyway.
Olive, Betty, and Ralph demonstrate how to properly visit a French bakery. Best viewed on a full stomach!

Filmed by Ben Blair and edited by Ralph Blair, in this little video, Oscar and Betty talk about some of the difficulties in filming an episode of Olive Us, and their response when they watched the first rough cut.
What’s a ‘rough cut’?: After a day of filming, the video team did a quick edit to give the kids a basic idea of what the episode would look like.

We know that modeling positive behavior can sometimes suggest the Blair kids are unrealistic. So we thought it would be funny to make a video showing something truly over-the-top — while still portraying positive relationships.
We hope you enjoy our little parody.

In this video, Olive and Maude demonstrate the hand game they played during the Garden Day episode (ep.1). It’s called Zing. Zing. Zing. Here are the words (perfect for the end of the school year!):
Zing. Zing. Zing.
Eeny meeny chips-o-leeny.
Oom pa popso-leeny.
Atcha katcha liver-atcha.
I love you.
Take a peach, take a plum.
Take a piece of chewing gum.
No more school. No more books.
No more teachers’ dirty looks.
Hey!
Do you have any favorite hand games?
