In this episode, Olive, Ralph, and Betty make hand cookies with Grandma. Yummy!
Don’t know if you have tried them before, but Hand Cookies are always a hit. Always. It has something to do with either: the sugar cookie, the frosting, the custom shapes, or the simplicity of it all. And, of course, hand cookies with grandma are better.
Huge thanks to Grandma McEvoy (who starred in this episode!) and Grandpa McEvoy who hosted us and provided many nourishing meals in addition to lots and lots of hand cookies.
Thanks also to Audrey Moore who made everything run smoothly.
And of course, hats off to Tiger in a Jar, who can make the simplest of activities beautiful.
There is a quick reference to the recipe on the video, but here it is for your convenience:

1 1/2 cup Suger

Two hints:
-We use this recipe because the cookies are firm enough to hold their shape but not hard as cardboard when it comes to eating.
-Roll out the dough directly onto the cooking sheet, removing the extra dough from the hand shapes.
Love,
Grandma : )

The perfect idea for kids!!!! But we just did something a little different…. as we are chocolate lovers we added 1 cup unsweetened cocoa. The cookies didn’t make it to the cookie box. They were eaten before even cooling!!!!! Thanks a lot for the recipe.
